The record behind the conversation
Ideas with a paper trail.
Roosevelt’s own words form the historical foundation. Direct government data gives present-day questions a factual footing.
The historical collection
Selected chapters of the autobiography, annual messages to Congress, and the 1899 Hamilton Club address. Other authors’ appendices are excluded. Embedded quotations remain contextual evidence; only individually checked excerpts may be quoted directly.

What this collection can—and cannot—say
This is a substantial selected corpus, not every document Roosevelt wrote. Letters to His Children and African and European Addresses are held out in full from retrieval and the voice guide for evaluation. Scanned archives that could not be downloaded reliably are not counted.
The experience uses retrieval and a written voice guide; it does not claim a newly trained foundation model. Historical authorship, publication dates and quotation checks constrain the portrayal. Race, imperialism and other contradictions in Roosevelt’s record are part of the history, not details to erase.
Portrait: Pach Brothers, 1904, reproduced in A Square Deal (1906), via Project Gutenberg. Public domain in the United States. No affiliation with the Roosevelt family or presidential institutions is implied.
